On August 7, the DGA screened Director Ken Wardrop’s documentary His & Hers at the Guild’s theatre complex in Los Angeles. Inspired by the life of Wardrop’s mother, the film chronicles a 90-year-old love story through the collective voice of 70 women in the Irish Midlands.

His & Hers was presented by the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland as part of the International Association of English Speaking Directors Organizations (IAESDO) Screening Series. The DGA invited the other members of IAESDO to select films not released in the US for screening at the Guild via the Director’s Finder Series, which spotlights undistributed low budget and/or independent feature films directed by DGA members.

Following the screening, Wardrop participated in a Q&A session moderated by DGA director-member Paul Quinn (Never Get Outta the Boat).
