introduces the film.

On August 12, the DGA’s Documentary Series presented its third offering with a screening of director Davis Guggenheim’s It Might Get Loud in the Guild’s Los Angeles Theatre.

The performance film brings together superstar guitarists The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes) who demonstrate and discuss their techniques and sources of inspiration. They reveal where they started, how they write and why they play, to give the audience an illuminating perspective on the electric guitar.

After the screening and an introduction by DGA Director-member Penelope Spheeris (The Decline of Western Civilization), Guggenheim, the Oscar-winning director of An Inconvenient Truth, discussed the making of It Might Get Loud with Documentary Series Committee Chair Chuck Workman (Precious Images).
